Update on COVID-19 & 2020 National Conference – Postponed

The National Board has been closely monitoring the guidelines and recommendations set forth by the Public Health Agency of Canada with regards to face-to-face meetings, gatherings and travel due to the COVID-19 situation. The safety and wellness of our members is our top priority.

Although our 2020 National Conference is over two months away, the National Board has decided to postpone our Annual Workshop to September 23-24, 2020 in Edmonton, Alberta. The 257th National Board Meeting and the 2020 AGM will still take place on May 29 and 30 but will be conducted in a virtual environment. Our local branches will also be providing communication to our members with regards to available online meeting options for their upcoming meetings. Branch AGMs will still be conducted but in an online format. Please stay tuned for further details as we work out the logistics for future meetings and events.

As administrative professionals, we know that you understand why we have decided to postpone. We want to ensure that everyone feels safe while attending this great event. Our Edmonton host branch will be issuing refunds to those who have already purchased tickets for our postponed National event. We will send out updated registration information as soon as it becomes available.

Thank you for your continued support and patience. Stay healthy and safe during this difficult time. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Warmest regards,

Katherine Vaillancourt
National-Director President
